Storyboard

These are images of our third and last storyboard which was used to create our final piece:

The images below are images of our initial storyboard. We drew this story board of our movie opening using the summary of our movie opening which we put together prior to the storyboard. The storyboard includes rough drawn images, camera shots, camera movements, dialogue, sound and also the number of each individual shot. The total number of shots that we will be using for our movie opening will be eight.

When filming our animatic, we realised that we had to split the storyboard up further so that we can have single, straight forward shots as oppose to a shot including numerous shots. Therefore, we created a new storyboard with added shots. Below are images of our new and improved storyboards:

When adding up the estimated time of each shot, we noticed that it is only 01 minute and 19 seconds long. This had us worried as the target for this movie opening is two minutes. Therefore, we planned for changes to two shots to be made. This would increase the time to 01:29. These changes are shown below:

Even though the timing still doesn't reach the two minutes, we decided not to make anymore changes because after we filmed shots 1, 2 and 3 we realised that we had estimated unachievable timings. This is because, we had estimated a total time of 16 seconds for the three shot. However, when the filming of these three shots was comple, it added up to 42 seconds.
